Website privacy notice
Effective October 26, 2026
This notice explains how Defendermate Systems Inc. (“Defendermate,” “we”) collects and uses personal information when you visit defendermate.com or contact us through it. It covers this website only. Use of the Defendermate product is covered by the product privacy policy and terms of use, which you can also find on our Trust and security page.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in a form on this site, such as Talk to Us, an early-access request or a guide download, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that is your name, work email, company, role or job title, the topics you are interested in, how you heard about us, and any message you write.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, our website platform and content delivery network collect technical information: the pages you visit and when, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and your IP address, from which an approximate location (country or city) may be inferred. Some of this is collected with cookies, described in section 5.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as health or financial data through this site.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your request, arrange a conversation, or send you the material you asked for.
- To tell you about Defendermate, including early access, product updates and events. You can opt out at any time with the link in our emails or by contacting us.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on:
- Consent, for analytics cookies where consent is required, and for marketing emails where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests, to respond to business inquiries, communicate with business contacts, understand site use and keep the site secure, balanced against your rights.
- Steps before a contract, when you ask us about using Defendermate.
- Legal obligations, where we must keep or disclose information.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:
- HubSpot, which hosts this website, runs our forms and website analytics, and is our customer relationship management system.
- Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
- Microsoft, for email and business communication.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Defendermate or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this notice continues to apply to it.
5. Cookies

We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies on this site. You can change your cookie choices at any time with Cookie settings, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
6. How long we keep it
We keep information you give us for as long as we have a business relationship with you or your organization, and for up to three years after our last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. Cookie durations are listed above.
7. International transfers
Defendermate is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Object to or restrict how we use it, including for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting earlier use.
- Receive it in a portable format.
- Not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email support@defendermate.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within the time the law allows. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing; we do neither.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. Defendermate is ISO 27001 certified and has completed a SOC 2 Type 1 examination. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. See Trust and security.
10. Children
This site is for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
