Why this role

Security teams are being asked to hand real work to AI: deciding which vulnerabilities matter, verifying them, closing them. Most have never seen an agent make that call, and they shouldn't trust one blindly.

Your goal is adoption of agents on our platform. You work with the teams using Defendermate, through their own AI or ours, and make agent-driven exposure and vulnerability management work in their environment: what the agents are doing and why, how to check their evidence, and how to make it part of how the team works.

Who you'll work with

You won't do this alone. You'll work closely with product engineering (what the agents do and how they explain themselves), the go-to-market team (who's evaluating us and what they need), and our security research and community colleagues, bringing what you learn from users back to each of them.

What you'll build

  • The path from first sign-in to trust: onboarding and worked examples that take a team from setup to its first verified exposure, and show how to check the evidence.
  • "Bring your own AI" setups: how to connect Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or any agent to Defendermate through our MCP server, and run real exposure and vulnerability management with it.
  • Agentic workflows for real teams: how verification, mitigation and remediation agents fit a team's existing process and tools.
  • A feedback loop into the agents: where users hesitate or get it wrong becomes changes, with product engineering, in how our agents explain themselves and decide.

What you'll do

  • Guide teams through onboarding and evaluations: connecting their environment, the first findings, the first verified exposure.
  • Answer practitioners' technical questions about how the agents decide, and what they will and won't do in their environment.
  • Help teams design how agents fit their vulnerability management process: triage, verification, mitigation, hand-offs.
  • Spot where users get stuck or lose trust, and fix it together with product engineering and the go-to-market team.
  • Write the guides and examples users need, as part of the product.

Your first year

  • First 90 days: onboarding and bring-your-own-AI setups are live and in use, and new teams reach their first verified exposure faster.
  • First year: more evaluating teams become confident, active users every quarter, and teams run more of their vulnerability management through agents.

You might be a fit if

  • You've run or worked closely with vulnerability management, or helped security teams adopt a technical product (solutions engineering, pre-sales or customer success at a security vendor).
  • You understand vulnerabilities, exploitability, cloud security and how security teams really work.
  • You use AI tools and agents heavily, and can explain their strengths and limits honestly.
  • You work well across engineering and go-to-market, and you write clear, accurate English that practitioners trust.

Bonus points: vulnerability management, exposure management or cloud security tools; hands-on AWS; building agent workflows or MCP integrations.

What we offer

  • Build with frontier AI. The newest models and agent tooling, every day, on real problems.
  • Stock options in our US parent company, for every hire.
  • Family health insurance and the equipment you need.
  • Remote, with occasional in-person time together.
  • A small, senior team where your work ships and is seen.
